beware- this is a pretty loaded post! it's been a crazy busy, fun few days around here! & i am totally high-fiving God that tomorrow is memorial day & we have daddy home one extra day this weekend :)
we spent thursday doing party prep for eloise's birthday! meme came over & we baked the cakes [lucy got to bake eloise's in her easy bake] & pulled together final details :)
lucy made no less than 5 homemade birthday cards for her sister :)
betsy girl turned 4 months new on friday! hip hooray! & i am pleased that after a bit of a sleep regression, she's slept well the last couple of nights. i've quickly realized that with 3, something is always changing- someone always has a rough night's sleep, someone is always hungry, thirsty, has to potty, needs a cuddle... it's a new constant! bea really is such a sweet, go-with-the-flow spirit, and i can't remember the time when she wasn't here with us! she is changing quickly, is out of "sleepy baby" stage & is scootin' herself around all over her playmat & crib!
eloise's last day to be ONE!

& it's true! our squeezy, weezy eloise turned TWO! our eloise, who loves pickles, mustard & olives. who loves the color orange. who always skips the number 5 when she counts. who is such an individual at the young, tender age of newly 2. i couldn't be more grateful to be the one this precious girl calls Mommy-
jon & i got her a pink strider bike to match lucy's, but the barbie trike is still her go-to :)
saturday morning, eloise's birthday, we headed down to the music hall for lucy's dance recital stage rehearsal! & oh my gosh. she was HOOKED from the time she stepped foot on that stage & felt the lights. she didn't want to leave-

jon & i were beaming with pride. it was SO FUN to watch her sing & dance her little heart out!
& we celebrated miss eloise today with an orange blossom barbecue! it was such a wonderful, relaxed celebration! this was our first time not doing a big birthday bash & i'm now all about low-key birthdays- less clean-up & a more intimate party space is where it's at :)
everyone wore orange & the birthday babe was so excited :)
i feel so much joy & gratitude, and am looking forward to the first full week of summer! we head to the plastic surgeon on tuesday to hear about the future of eloise's fingertip, although it's looking so much better than anticipated!
we're getting ready to do some basement renovations- paint, bathroom remodel, building a bar. summer project!
