covid19- week 89 thanksgiving

thanksgiving week was so needed! a break from school, dance and the normal grind was appreciated by all of us. we had our traditional big christmas cookie bake day with meme- 11 cookies and many hours of memories! the girls received their second covid vaccine [grateful!], and for thanksgiving, we hosted the dandurands and crawfords. jon made an absolutely amazing meal, and i'll officially be dreaming about his sweet potatoes until next thanksgiving. we decided to add getting bedrooms and stairs re-floored onto the week because who doesn't want to live in a construction zone in the days leading up to hosting a holiday? :) honestly, it all worked out well and we're feeling good as we head into the last month of the year! my car is supposed to be finished this week [which is fantastic as it's now been 3.5 months since the accident!!], and we're looking forward to all of the december festivities with the girls <3

covid19- thirty five

favorite birthday. favorite time in my life. i'm learning there's always going to be                               something that can feel daunting or overwhelming. life throws curves, but i'm learning to take them in stride and just enjoy this beautiful family, these beautiful friends and this beautiful life of mine. life balances out and the bad times, as with the good, aren't everlasting.

jon spent saturday wallpapering lucy and betsy's shared bathroom, and really just making the weekend so nice for me. he had told me that he'd made reservations at le fou frog in the city market where we'd celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary, and the girls were excited to head to meme's for a sleepover. when we got to the restaurant, we were immediately seated at a table for 6 and in walked 2 of the dearest friends of my life and their sweet husbands. it was one of my happiest nights. friends, food and a waiter who serenaded us with les mis ;) we drank and ate all the things, and stayed for 4+ hours not needing to rush home. it was such a treat to sleep in this morning, exercise and then pick meme and the girls up for a brunch to cure the hangover blues.

i feel really blessed and grateful for all my people and for the chance to live another age.

covid19- week 88

one week until thanksgiving which is just insane considering november started yesterday! after a couple of beautiful days, the weather has turned colder and definitely feels like winter is near. our visit with aunt chalon and uncle dave was short but sweet and we've spent every weekend this past month shuttling between clara's dream rehearsals, lucy's performance troupe rehearsals and friends' birthday parties.

this week the girls had watch week at their dance studio which is always fun yet hectic- dividing and conquering classes. eloise celebrated her first reconciliation, which she found to be pretty emotional. we are so proud of her brave heart! and i'm in my final 3 days at 34. for some reason, 35 sounds a lot older than 34 ;)
