covid19- week 50

some beautiful days & chilly nights, peeks of spring! & celebrating gmom's 60th birthday-

we're entering march & one full year of covid affecting our day-to-day lives. the resiliency of our children and the creativity of humanity are 2 of this past year's greatest gifts.

covid19- week 49

below zero temps, snow days and lots of time at home to play and read. we're wishing for warmer weather & dreaming of spring and summer days ahead. as always, grateful for the health of our family and loved ones. i can't wait to be able to visit my gramma once i'm vaccinated, and even more so, for the girls to get to visit her once they finally receive their vaccines. there are days where it feels like so much of our time has been robbed, but we do our best to focus on all of our many, many positives over the past 49 weeks. i know for sure that this generation of kids will grow into the most accepting, resilient adults our world has known!

covid19- week 48

it's been a week filled with love, snow and lots of betsy photo opps! we celebrated valentine's weekend with homemade heart-shaped pizzas, too much chocolate and a fun, festive brunch at the country club while the high of the day is zero degrees... and let's keep it real- jon slept on his neck wrong and spent the morning in absolute misery. we so romantic ;)

the girls are off school until wednesday and dance is cancelled due to extreme cold, so hunkering down and turning up the fireplaces is about all our agenda holds!

covid19- week 47

daddy & betsy made the most of a pandemic 5 year old trip in [-2] degrees and learned in the process that she is, in fact, my daughter favoring the mall of america and its 3 claire's, nordstrom cafe, and a glow in the dark manicure over skiing and frigid temps!! :)

jon had a lot of emotions surrounding their trip- this newfound overwhelming responsibility of keeping our family safe in a global health crisis while trying to grasp onto some sort of normalcy, face masks that froze into icicles while skiing, the fact that the last of his 5 year trips with our girls are behind him and that bea is growing into such an independent, go-get-em girl. such priceless memories and aside from buying out claire's, betsy's been most excited to share about jumping on the bed and cuddling with her daddy, uninterrupted.

lucy received her 2nd sacrament this week, her 1st reconciliation, and left with a full heart and a light conscience <3

it's superbowl sunday with the chiefs in it for the 2nd year in a row and love week is upon us!
