happy birthday, dear eloise!

happiest of happy birthdays to you, sweetest eloise! you are pure sunshine with your huge heart and your hilarious phrases! we love you more than words could ever say!

daddy made eloise's favorite pancakes then we headed to weston [one of our very favorite spots!] for lunch, ice cream & eloise's choice of rock candy! we finished the day with sprinklers, a messy house & happy girls. 

may you never lose your creativity and silliness- you are a true individual & we are the luckiest to get to join along for the ride!

recital 2018!

so much joy & gratitude felt over these past couple of days! i am deeply grateful for the life lessons our girls are learning through dancing- commitment & hard work paying off, feeding friendships, confidence & the best kinds of memories!

up next- 3 recital dancers! but first- sweet summer!

have i mentioned before how busy our mays have become?!? between wrapping up the school & dance year, recital, eloise's birthday + several of our loved ones' birthdays, i feel like i'm barely hanging on! a day at a time is about all i can swing for now ;)

the big girls finished school, we have 4 uniforms ready to go for lucy to rotate in kindergarten, we've all finished dance & now once the big recital is complete [a full friday & saturday commitment for us], eloise's birthday falls on memorial day this year & we can officially celebrate the beginning of summer & a slower pace of life for a little while! yahoo! i'm so excited for our upcoming trips, adventures & all the lazy days of summer!

setting our ladybugs free! this was the second year we've raised ladybugs, and prior to that, we grew caterpillars. it's such a neat activity & eloise, especially, is super into the metamorphoses that takes place right before our eyes! eloise & lucy were so excited to find a ladybug in our garden the following morning- it's hard to say goodbye to your babies ;)

strawberry picking day with our favorites! we raced home to make fresh strawberry shortcakes right after :)

loving every one of these mild-temp days that are still comfortable enough to play on the deck in the afternoons-

errands in curlers- must be recital picture day! next year, we'll have 3 girls in costumes! not sure how i'll do it because between lucy & eloise we have 5 dances this year & i feel slightly in over my head ;)

ready for the weekend! the big girls have big plans for a backyard campout with daddy!

wrapping up preschool with lucy's name progression from september 'til may- monday is her last day before she's officially a kinder!
