we had such a fun, quintessential summer week! we went to the pool a few times, played in the sprinkler, did the usual activities, went to the library... nothing out of the ordinary, which makes it that much more precious. we have some really tough days where bickering is at intolerable levels & i honestly feel desperate for bedtimes, but these 3 make life so fulfilling, so worthwhile, filled with sweet & funny moments, and are the reason i'm here on earth, just living that mom life. i'll never take it for granted.

a flower shower for aunt alli!

it was a beautiful day, showering aunt alli & baby crawford with so much love & lots of shirley temples! we are so excited to welcome another little girl into our family!!!

we had such a sweet, happy week in our family. lucy & eloise both went to camps at their school in the mornings- lucy went to cooking camp & eloise, kindergarten camp. we went to ice cream, went swimming, to the playground, out for pizza with friends, we had a family picnic, dance classes & tumbling, and went to the girls' school library's summer hours where eloise was so excited to check out her first school book & lucy couldn't wait to get a chapter book for summer reading. all simple things, which are the most rewarding. 

lucy loved cooking camp & was eager to make us dinner all on her own- tortilla chips sprinkled with cheese & microwaved for 30 seconds. "salsa, optional" ;) we have another week before lucy starts rehearsals for the wizard of oz, and golf camp + a tinitainers performance lie ahead. today i'm hosting aunt alli's baby shower, and life is in a sweet spot right now. i'm on a "watching old movie musicals" kick, and last night we finished carousel. to quote- "june is a love song, sweetly sung." i grew up watching rodgers & hammerstein movies on repeat, and i'm a total sucker for the entire collection. thankfully jon's willing to sit next to me, wikipedia-ing all my trivia questions throughout ;)

best news at the eye doctor- no more glasses! time to party!
