i take a lot of pictures of my kids. A LOT. those who follow me on social media- particularly instagram- are subjected to multiple pictures per week [somedays per day] of the in's & out's of the cute things my kids do. this time is so fleeting & i know that one day i'll look back & miss it as "the days". in starting to prepare for lucy's preschool visit this spring, i'm realizing just how quickly time is passing. i swear it was just february 1, 2012 at 4:45am & i was waking jon up with a positive pregnancy test :)
we've had a busy week & blogging has gotten tricker. lucy has for sure given up naps. it got to the point where if she napped, she wasn't falling asleep until 10pm or later. i've been restructuring our days around this no-nap situation, eloise is getting busier & the days are flying by me.
lucy told me she wanted to "nurse ariel", but if you ask me, she has it a bit backwards... this same little girl found her sunglasses & scarf from her toybox the other day, ran to her cozy coupe & told me she was going for a ride to the coffee shop. gotta teach 'em young.

i am SO grateful to have a friend i can text at 11:30 in the morning when cabin-fever is running rampant in my house- who will load up her girls & head directly over to entertain us for the afternoon. a friend who i don't worry about the need to feel "pulled-together" for. i literally had no makeup on, my hair hadn't been washed & God knows what i was wearing... but she loves me & brought me a coffee anyway :) & took pictures to document because i wasn't even on top of that last thursday, my friends.

EIGHT MONTHS! i can't believe it. this little girl has been the sweetest light in our family. i absolutely cannot imagine life without her. she's into doing the "downward dog" lately, has begun pulling up on surfaces, signs "all done" from her highchair, loves loves being outside [kick kick kick!] & really enjoys exploring solids, especially gnawing on raw fruits & vegetables [cucumber & red pepper float her boat!]
we have been so fortunate this january to have such beautiful, warm weather!
