covid19- week 28 LUCY TURNS 8!

after weeks of counting down and planning her own tiny tea party, we celebrated our lovely lucy with a royal afternoon fit for the sweetest small group of dance friends. she asked for strawberry cake, pink lemonade, and all things belle. 

our lucy girl is 8! sweet, easy, determined, focused ... and 8!

lucy could hardly believe that belle traveled all the way to kansas from disneyworld to celebrate. 

the absolute most precious ever. please- no more growing. this age is everything. 

but i always say that <3

our week was filled with enjoying the gorgeous weather as much as possible in-between school days and dance evenings. we celebrated our special meme's birthday and visited the apple orchard. in the history of the covid19 pandemic, this week was really a good one. there were some 'normal' moments, lots of sunshine and sunny outlooks. thankful for it.

covid19- week 27

another week in this global health pandemic. it's another kind of exhaustion, but my gratitude for the kids' school is never-ending. they wake up long before their alarms & we arrive at school far too early every morning. betsy & i love our days together, and always look forward to picking up sissies after school. adding in the girls' dance schedules was about as crazy as i imagined it would be, but these kids are happy and loving life, so these parents are rolling with it. looking forward to a fun fall weekend and we're on the one week countdown to having an 8 year old in the house!
