dancing into eleven!! 12 years ago my heart ached for a daughter, and this tiny 6lb baby has blossomed into the tween of my dreams! she's a deep feeler, a hard worker, and she keeps us all on time. lucy jane- wishing you a year of all your favorites- hours dancing, color coded calendars, and mocha fraps!

dancing dirty with gramma!

the absolute best week at kellerman's following gramma's birthday celebrations! we know all the dirty dancing trivia after days of carrying watermelons, creeping around campus for cast member's rooms, watching and rewatching the film from the locations scenes were shot, and re-memorizing the soundtrack. we took dance lessons, won the scavenger hunt prize, and dreamt of a different, slower time.

40th out of 150 in dirty dancing trivia!

happy 91st great gramma helen!! the biggest gift and blessing to spend uninterrupted time together. we picked through mountainside shops, talked about our adventures in the cherry orchard years ago, and listened to her stories of growing up in the blue ridge mountains without running water and modern technology for entertainment. her days were spent catching crawdads in the creek and filling up dippers with well water for passing travelers. 

and it wouldn't be an adventure without a rental car flat tire and small town tire shop experience...
