the first week of summer around here was filled with HOT weather, the farmer's market, a funky mama concert with friends at the farmstead, a playdate, the pool & sweet sister snuggles-
a cherry limeade cheers to celebrate getting through a doctor's appointment with all 3 girls in tow! eloise's 2 year + betsy's 4 month check-ups [& what do you know, eloise had to potty the exact second betsy was getting her shots. the very moment]. eloise's appointment with the pediatric plastic surgeon followed, and he isn't in the least concerned about the future of her left index finger! we are beyond relieved. he said, at most, her nail will grow back with a ridge. we learned that children's fingers & toes are among the most resilient extremities. hallelujah!
living that mermaid life-
i'm seaside-bound with my mom & betsy on monday morning. jon's sending us with strict orders to unplug & unwind. he's pretty pumped to take a few vacation days & head to the movie theatre + water park with the big girls. i've never been away from lucy or eloise like this, so fingers crossed i'll be able to embrace the special time with beatrice, knowing my big girls are having the time of their lives with their daddy!
