nashville!

jon & i had the best little trip to nashville to celebrate our 8 year wedding anniversary & 15th year doing life together! we brunched, we shopped, we museumed, we drank too much & we missed our girls, who were in the best care!

bea stayed with meme, while the big girls had a sleepover with gmom & gdad! everyone is happy, sleepy & so grateful, and jon & i are already planning next summer's getaway ;)

lucy & i finished little house in the big woods tonight. what a treat having this special time with my sweetest lu each night. she was so excited to finish her first chapter book, and carefully paged through the book again, talking about her favorite chapters & illustrations. tomorrow night, we will begin little house on the prairie. unwinding with each girl at the end of the day in our own special way has truly become something i look forward to- a favorite time. 

bringing me smiles this past week-

lucy & her tiny team celebrated a 100+ degree day with a beach party- bathing suits & staying cool in the dancing studio!

nutella cookies from kitchen scratch [it may have been our breakfast one morning last week:)]

embroidery fun! so loving this new little hobby of mine!

& a major highlight of last week was receiving our girls' silhouettes i'd been anxiously waiting for-

my current favorite wall in the house :)

headed to see annie last night with my own liiiittle girls- they'll never stop singing "tomorrow"... ;)

we've been under heat advisories & jon is in NYC. here's to a new week, even though our pictures from this past one will surely bring back some really sweet memories :)

an intense round of candyland going down-

lucy & i started the little house series! we read a chapter each night before bed, and both so look forward to this time together. she asks about a million questions per page, and we can't wait to drive to the actual "little house" for a day trip with meme once we've finished the whole set :)

& moana camp round #2. eloise may have pitched about 10 fits throughout the morning due to wanting more swedish fish snacks & another little girl's moana dolly, but other than that, it was a super successful morning ;)
