it's the most wonderful time of the year!
i spent my birthday with my 3 favorite girls, who made sure to argue over every last toy in the house, just for me ;) lucy was so proud to gift me her big stack of cards she worked on for a week. she loves giving gifts to people she cares about, just like her daddy :) a couple of weeks ago, she wanted to give a gift to gmom, who she was seeing the next day. she went into her room, found her most favorite chapstick, slathered it on one more time & said "i'm sure going to miss this", wrapped it up neatly in a kleenex, and was over the moon excited to give it to her. she said as she was falling asleep that night, "i hope she likes it!" <3

we celebrated thanksgiving with gmom, gdad, aunt alli & soon-to-be uncle merrit- jon spent the day smoking a turkey & gmom made her pies that we all so look forward to.
we've had a fun several days with family over this holiday break- the big girls got to decorate their own tree at gmom & gdad's, while jon & i took full advantage of being down 2 kids, and created our own winter wonderland at home!
today was our annual christmas bake day with meme! we spent 6 hours making all sorts of christmas goodies to gift to friends, neighbors & teachers throughout the month of december :)
we took the girls to watch the christmas light show at the farmstead in their jammies before bed tonight and tomorrow, we're finishing decorating our tree with the girls & all of their personal ornaments + watching a charlie brown christmas together. the next 4 weekends are so busy that my head is spinning just thinking about them- my goal is deep breaths, wine + coffee hydration, yoga & barre classes that keep me sane, & taking in every last bit of the magic of christmas in my girls' eyes. i'm a lucky, lucky mommy <3
