we have had such a lovely long mother's day weekend! we enjoyed a fiesta with the pattersons, strawberry picking & pie baking, visiting jon's grandmother, lunch at jack stack, lucy's dance class, a get-together at jon's parents', time spent together at home, dinner with meme, playing in the sprinkler, a spring thunderstorm & a diaper-free eloise ;) jon surprised me with a new laptop for mother's day, which is making blogging so much quicker! my previous laptop was a 2011 macbook & i can hardly believe the change in technology since then. because i'm not in the workplace or school, i honestly hadn't realized how much has changed in the laptop industry! it's so nice to have my pictures load in a matter of seconds compared to up to an hour :)

a very happy mother's day to all moms! motherhood isn't easy- it's so many wonderful things, but easy isn't one of them. it's filled with exhaustion, constant questioning, guilt & worry, & so much love that you can barely comprehend. i am so grateful for my children & my husband, who gives his all in order for me to be able to fully focus on our family.
