i can hardly believe i'm typing this, but eloise is totally potty trained! she initiates, goes on her own & washes her hands! if you would have told me this a week ago, i would have thought you were crazy :) it's pretty much the cutest thing ever, as little as she is :)

& what a week- it's truly been potty training boot camp. it took her less than 3 days to fully get the hang of it & this mama is relieved! 3 days felt like 3 years. we're excited to get out of the house tomorrow- we're visiting the girls' GG [jon's grandmother], then heading to the strawberry patch & coming home to make a summer strawberry pie, all with daddy! i'm so excited for this mother's day weekend :)

lucy & eloise have played like true best buds this week. rarely do we stay home this many days in a row & it's given them the opportunity to use their shared imaginations & play for hours on end. with eloise potty trained & weaned, and she & lucy playing together the way they are, i'm reminded how worth it it is to me to have had my babies close in age. a few months of crazy pays off when they become companions! i do feel so fortunate. 

& it feels like i'm entering a new life season! just one baby + 2 big girls who entertain each other. life is good :)
