all in one day, lucy turned the big 12 AND received the dreamy news that she gets to dance the role of clara in her studio's christmas ballet, clara's dream, this december! it's a christmas wish come true for lu! she's a dream to parent and we truly treasure each day watching this precocious girl grow. she is sweet and fun, kind-hearted and hard-working.

well it's definitely been the most random couple of weeks around here. in short, lucy's giant stanley cup fell on my face from a high pantry shelf causing a gnarly 2 week black eye followed by a retina detachment requiring emergency surgery and a gas bubble placed in my eye that is yet to dissolve, meaning i'm living life seeing through one eye. while it could always always be worse, i sure will be thrilled to see again! we take so much for granted until it's gone.
