the chiefs won the superbowl, we've had a ferris wheel of sickness in this house for 3 weeks, multiple snow and/or sick days, valentine's day filled with sick kids and pink roses, and most exciting ... betsy needs glasses! her classroom teacher noticed that she pulls books and screens super close to her face, and we've noticed this too, along with her dread of reading because she is just super wiped out afterwards. i'm so relieved to have an answer and a simple fix that will make a huge difference in her enjoyment of reading!

here's to a healthier second half of february for this household...!

we had a sick kid, we had some high tween emotions, and we had frigid, gray days. BUT the girls each had time with friends, lucy made us proud with her poise and courage in the spelling bee and talent show, eloise's endless creativity gave us several smiles, and betsy learned to blow dry her own hair now that blowdrying hair isn't up for debate with this bang situation. these kids sure do keep us busy :)
