the school & activities year has picked up in busyness, and more than ever, the girls are having a blast & i'm choosing to be mindful in enjoying the precious time that we're home, unscheduled. bea & i are so enjoying our days together as we've had a small handful of cooler days to spend outside. this week beings october, and the pumpkin patch is calling our name!

our sweetest lucille jane is  s e v e n  and my mama heart can hardly take it! part of me feels like she was born just yesterday, and the other part feels as if she's been here forever with her old soul and wise outlook on life. with her penchant for penning thoughtful thank you letters and her amazing illustrations, her artistry runs deep. my heart has grown infinitely since that night she was born, and i am forever and ever grateful to get to mother this lovely little lady.

roller skates because as she told us last week, her favorite thing she's experienced in her 7 years on earth is going to the roller rink!

for her birthday this year, our big girl was dyyyyying for a sleepover! cue kaitlyn. it was the easiest, most fun night ever, complete with cake, talent shows, makeovers, nails, freaky looking cotton candy scented face masks, mary kate & ashley, reading [i'm serious], and no complaining when it was time to turn out the lights. a mom's dream. the girls woke up to pink pancakes & tears were shed on our end when our sweetest friend headed home.
