it was a wonderful white christmas with family! we did many of our favorite things & are spending the next several days winding down, followed by finishing the year with a bang by potty training beatrice! an uneventful january is looking appealing after a busy, fulfilling few weeks :)
lucy performed with her tiny team dance troupe in the opening act of clara's dream [miller marley's version of the nutcracker]
followed by a little musical theatre class recital at a local nursing home the next night. she & kaitlyn were so brave singing their santa claus is coming to town duet to a new audience!
the next day was her preschool class christmas program!
& finally we were officially on winter break! we celebrated & made our annual gingerbread village with daddy <3
& then our family arrived for the holiday!
we celebrated tasman's 6th birthday with a waterpark day at the great wolf lodge- it was filled to the brim with families & the kids loved every single minute of it!
we christmas crafted, cookie decorated & spent an evening at union station seeing raggedy ann & andy's christmas adventure and enjoying the hustle & bustle of the season in kansas city!
on christmas eve, meme baked up a storm, we went to our favorite church service of the year, and we spotted santa running across meme's lawn before we set out cookies & sprinkled reindeer food on the lawn <3
santa was so good to us this year. lucy received her locket with a picture of mommy & daddy inside that she's been asking for for months, eloise's yo-yo arrived & betsy girl got her favorite crackers :)
we are so very thankful for jesus' ultimate sacrifice for us, and for this beautiful life we get to live.
it really is a wonderful life.
