what a fun, busy busy, hot hot hot week we've had! & to top it off with father's day.
jon is truly the gold standard of dads. he loves his family with his whole heart & is dedicated & devoted to giving us the best life he can every single day. he expects the girls' best, and praises their efforts. he is compassionate, silly, kind, smart, a true optimist and a natural.
i am so proud that he is the father of our girls- it takes a special man to care for 4 women, and he's always up for the challenge :) he is raising confident, independent little women, and i firmly believe that God chose him to raise 3 girls for a reason.
we've been doing some sort of pool, water play, sprinklers, drinking from the hose, etc. each day- betsy's gotten good at poolside naps :) lucy & eloise have back-to-back swim lessons with harrison, so having a dedicated pool morning with kim, gretchen & harrison each week makes our hearts so happy!
eloise was in charge of the cows' bedtime while playing at the library's new dollhouse + farm station :)
we visited the johnson county museum with the green girls- what an awesome space! the kid section is perfect for keeping kids engaged on a super hot or rainy day.
milkshakes from winstead's are a classic kansas city summer staple :) even more so when daddy AND meme are both out of town & moms' running behind on getting dinner on the table!
miss july in june-
my friend, sara, is due any day with her second little boy. bryant is such a sweet, tender-hearted guy. we can't wait t0 meet his baby bro!
too hot for toddler time at the public pool [held in the mornings before it opens for the day], so we opted for an indoor pool with the armentrout girls. it was so fun & not dealing with sunscreen was an appreciated change :) jessica is due with her second girl later this year! charlotte jo is seriously sweet as pie-
lu made her daddy a play dough cake for father's day while her sissies napped :)
farmer's market fun- we left with the prettiest sunflower bouquet :)
i am obsessed with this brown eyed, curly haired dolly- who knocked her front teeth on the side of the tub last night. she's continuing to have some pain & sensitivity today, and it just so happens that she has a dental check-up tomorrow morning. finger's crossed the x-ray looks ok! it's always something, am i right?!
i started a mommy/kid exercise class with tarah last week- it was a total blast! it was the first fitness class i've taken in forever because of childcare, but this is an awesome franchise [called fit4mom] where you bring your kids with you! it's held in a big room & my big girls just ran around with the other kids- we all brought snacks & toys that the kids shared. betsy kicked around on a blanket for an hour, and it felt like a fun break for all of us! so grateful for my mama tribe!
