we arrived home from the western slopes of colorado last night after a 12 hour travel day. we had the best time getting to meet baby milo & spending time with my sister, brian & tasman. we're all exhausted today & both girls will likely happily nap the afternoon away! lucky mommy as i play catch-up :)
lucy's been requesting art projects more & more- [& still really only wants to wear this "princess dress"]

...followed by a tornado watch & us hunkering down in the basement, the one evening jon was working late :)
my mom & i took lucy to see cinderella at starlight theatre last tuesday night & oh my gosh! it was a night to remember. lucy was so pleased to have us all to herself :) we started the night out at winstead's for some burgers & shakes-

it rained the entire show & lucy LOVED hiding out under a blanket [as the theatre is outdoors!] we wrapped up the night with popcorn & a very happy, sleepy little lady :)
we left thursday for grand junction- a 1.5 hour flight to denver, followed by a 3-4 hour roadtrip [& all the waiting in-between!] the drive out wasn't the most pleasant of my life, but at least we had beautiful scenery to enjoy :)

we went to the neatest peach orchard on friday to see the peaches & picnic in palisade- [& eat the most delicious lavender ice cream!]
lucy LOVED holding milo- she asked to about 10x per day. it was so fun to see her with a new baby! she was so little when she first met eloise that there wasn't a hold lot of "big sister holding little sister" time :)

lucy's asked several times to pick apples since, so i think the apple orchard will be especially fun this fall!
saturday we visited the colorado national monument & these pictures really do not do the beauty of this place any justice-

sunday we went to the grand junction rockies baseball game- it was so fun [& super hot!]
the girls met corky the coyote- & lucy even talked to him! she's come a long way since meeting kc wolf at lauren & devin's wedding last november :)

milo is the sweetest little guy- such a happy & content baby. tasman is a proud big brother & it is so fun to see! we won't see the davidsons again until lucy turns THREE in september! & i know milo will be huge in comparison by then!
tomorrow night lucy is having her first ever sleepover at meme's house. i have literally only been away from her over night when i #1 had kidney stones at 9 months pregnant with eloise & had to stay the weekend at the hospital & #2 when i was in the hospital for eloise's arrival. she is SO looking forward to it & plans to "make cupcakes, play dress-up, watch a movie, eat popcorn & skip bathtime" :)
