story time with daddy :) nothing's better than dad's friday afternoon arrival home from work. 

lucy got mail! gmom & gdad sent lucy stickers [sophia the 1st!] & pictures- she was super excited to open the little envelope addressed to her. she's very into the "mailbox" these days. we spend a couple mornings each week drawing pictures & stuffing envelopes to send to people she loves, so it was extra fun for lucy to get something, too :)

i think it's safe to say [knock knock] that we're out of the fussy evening newborn stage with eloise! she's getting big quickly! such a personality.

lucyisms as of late: 

"lucy nurse ariel!" she's started nursing her baby dolls- heehee :) such a little mommy!

newest word is "nope"- i.e. daddy: "lucy, will you please eat your sweet potato?" lucy: "nope!"

she's made serious progress at the pool this summer! she went from splashing in the baby pool in may, to jumping into the deep end, blowing bubbles, loving jon throwing her ["daddy, throw you!"], floating on her back & counting to 10, and paddling all by herself. 

she also says [multiple times each day...] "hmmm...let's see...i know!" wonder where she picked that one up? :)

& i now understand the whole "my kid talks all. day. long..." thing. i mean- this child has a LOT to say. i literally hear every thought that comes into her mind... :)

today i am grateful for a quiet saturday morning with eloise. jon took lucy to the fitness center pool, as she's been asking about the "waterfall" & "tids" [kids] that she sees there.
