favorite birthday. favorite time in my life. i'm learning there's always going to be something that can feel daunting or overwhelming. life throws curves, but i'm learning to take them in stride and just enjoy this beautiful family, these beautiful friends and this beautiful life of mine. life balances out and the bad times, as with the good, aren't everlasting.
jon spent saturday wallpapering lucy and betsy's shared bathroom, and really just making the weekend so nice for me. he had told me that he'd made reservations at le fou frog in the city market where we'd celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary, and the girls were excited to head to meme's for a sleepover. when we got to the restaurant, we were immediately seated at a table for 6 and in walked 2 of the dearest friends of my life and their sweet husbands. it was one of my happiest nights. friends, food and a waiter who serenaded us with les mis ;) we drank and ate all the things, and stayed for 4+ hours not needing to rush home. it was such a treat to sleep in this morning, exercise and then pick meme and the girls up for a brunch to cure the hangover blues.
i feel really blessed and grateful for all my people and for the chance to live another age.
