jon & i had the absolute best best weekend getaway to california- santa barbara & its surrounding wine country + a morning in manhattan beach. the weather was perfect, we had honestly the best, prettiest meal of probably my entire life in downtown santa barbara on saturday night, and precious time together. i feel so fortunate to get to go through life with this special person!
the spanish architecture in santa barbara is one of my favorite, unique parts of the city. we stayed in a little spanish inn, with adobe walls, lots of colorful tile & striking arches.
we did a winery tour with a small group, and at the end, there was a taste-testing game to see who knew their wines the best. hilariously, i won, thoroughly impressing both my husband & the tour-guide ;)
we drank all the wine, ate all the treats, and rounded out our time with a gorgeous breakfast view of the ocean in manhattan beach-
meanwhile, back at home, lucy & betsy stayed with gmom & gdad, while eloise ruled meme's house. we are incredibly lucky to have such willing and generous parents, who act like they aren't excited to have their houses & lives back to themselves ;)
sunshine & time to breathe is the best medicine!
