spring is in the air early around here & it has been an immense mood-changer for each of us! i do love snow & winter, but i love when warm temperatures return. our windows have been open, the girls have been spending most of their time outdoors & i am sooo thankful that for now, sickness is behind us & we're all sleeping nice, long nights after slow days outdoors.

lucy & i had such a special date painting pottery at "a very fairy princess party"- she loved every minute of it & is the perfect age & personality for activities like this! i really just sat back & enjoyed talking to her & drinking my coffee. it was a total mama break!

daddy made us pink heart pancakes as an early valentine's breakfast :)

lucy's "special day" at preschool happened to line up with her valentine's exchange [ok, i may have purposefully made this happen:)] we brought valentine's-themed cupcakes [that she chose down to the wrappers!], strawberry milk & some fun festive tableware that she picked out for the celebration. it was such a sweet morning to get to see everyone's excitement in sharing valentines with their classmates <3

eloise dove into lucy's sucker stash within 2 minutes of our arrival home-

the warm air breezing through the windows inspired me to pull out spring decor & wardrobes during nap one day last week. it feels so bright & light!

meme & i brought the big girls to see a production of "the little mermaid" at a local high school yesterday afternoon. i am so excited eloise is ready to join us for times like these! she is obsessed with ariel [i'm sure i've mentioned this before?] & was beside herself to get to see all of the characters in person. she skipped her nap [for the first time ever] & i was nervous it would lead to an exhausted meltdown, but she totally surprised us! we went to our friends' house afterwards for dinner & drinks outside, and she showed zero signs of having needed a nap. she ended up having a solid night's sleep [she's usually up 1-2 times to either potty or have her blankets adjected] & my wheels are now turning about whether or not she needs a nap at all at this point?! it's so nice to have that break in the day with all 3 either napping, or lucy having quiet time in her room, and i can't imagine giving that up quite yet! "quiet time" with eloise would be an interesting endeavor ;) so we'll see. always evolving around here :)
