we have been hibernating for the past 4 days. we had snow yesterday & negative temperatures into today, which lead to cancellations of all our weekend plans. it's been so nice to not have to be anywhere & to have no commitments. we've drank too much coffee, wrapped all our christmas gifts, we've all watched more christmas movies than i ever intended to let our children watch in one sitting [which lead lucy to whisper under her breath "knock it off, ya filthy animal" while innocently putting together a puzzle... home alone is her absolute favorite]. we're back to school tomorrow for the last day before winter break & i'm definitely sad to see this cozy weekend come to an end-

we saw santa last week & were so surprised that it was beatrice who wasn't having any of it this year!

staying warm & contained in the car during lucy's 45 minutes of ballet- [do you notice the theme of eloise making this expression in several of these photos?! she says it's her elf face :)]

& last week, we celebrated jon's great-grandmother's 76th birthday :)

we can't wait for the week ahead, filled with red & green pancake stacks, candy canes & watching frosty for the 50th time :)
