it was a wonderful, memorable week with family, celebrating 3 decades on earth, thanksgiving, & the kickoff to the christmas season-
lucy's & eloise's thankful trees- it was like pulling teeth to get eloise to share her thankfulness for anything other than ariel and/or flounder this thanksgiving-
jon is a man of many talents, which just so happen to include his ability to create magic in the kitchen! lucky me :) he so enjoys experimenting in the kitchen & he prepares far more meals for our family, when he's not traveling, than i do :) he had been looking forward to preparing the thanksgiving meal for weeks prior this year, and in true jon-style, he created the menu & executed it perfectly. he prepared two turkeys- one smoked & one fried. & the leftovers have been even better than the day-of :)
post-thanksgiving, kicking off christmas at union station-
& a surprisingly uneventful lunch on the plaza, with children aged 0, 1, 2, 4 & 4 :)
my sister & her family headed home to colorado today & after waking up to jon's homemade [from scratch!] cinnamon rolls, the 5 of us literally spent the e n t i r e day decorating for christmas.
so so so worth it :)
we're looking forward to all of the sweetness happening over the next few weeks- there's nothing better than small children at christmastime.
