ballerina eloise, who has watched lucy dance her entire life, started bitty baby ballet class yesterday-
jon kept lucy & betsy home, and i got to take eloise solo. it was such a treat for the both of us! she was literally squealing with excitement the entire ride to class. she kept pointing to her sisters' carseats, saying they were missing, and that it was "just mommy & eloise!" she hopped out of the car & ran into the dance studio, enthusiastically greeting her teacher. she was SO proud- i wish i could bottle up those moments. parents stay outside the room, and about halfway through class, she realized i wasn't in there with her. and the tears started. the teacher told me afterwards that she asked eloise if she wanted to join the others to dance, and eloise responded "no thanks!" which eloise then repeated the story to me all evening long as well :) she says she's excited to go back & she giggled telling me she's not going to cry next week :) time will tell!
but it doesn't get any more darling than 2 year old ballerinas.
grateful always for the 6 little feet under our roof that fill these slippers-
happy hump day!
