my mom has talked for years about how obsessed i was with coins as a toddler. i always insisted on carrying a penny & would wake up crying in the middle of the night if i'd dropped it. 

fast-forward nearly 30 years & this is my life with eloise. 

she has been obsessively attached to her coins- specifically my sister's 1980's gymnastics medals. she sleeps with them, completely loses it if she can't find them & wakes up multiple times per night when she's lost them somewhere deep beneath the sheets. 

lord, help me.
