we have had the absolute best weather this past week! we've spent each day with the back door open, and the girls going in & out as they please. spring fever is rampant! we've been fortunate to have had lots of time to simply relax & enjoy the end of winter.

eloise is now 9.5 months with ZERO teeth [i think lucy had like 8 at this point!] i guess she'll just have to stay my bitty baby forever :)

she has especially enjoyed the majority of her meals being outdoors-

tea party with my childhood china :) lucy & i have had some special [& predictable!] one-on-one time with eloise now falling into a more consistent nap schedule-

& a special delivery from aunt kim containing lots of frozen surprises- this seriously made her week!

wednesday was actually warm enough for me to be able to say YES to lucy's recent insistence on running around in her ariel swimsuit :)

jon's birthday was thursday- happy birthday, daddy! he was serenaded by lucy's version of happy birthday [which is actually on-key!] & buttercream cupcakes per his request :)

& friday was such an exciting day! lucy got to go to the movie theatre [or "movie eater" as she calls it] for the first time! we saw cinderella & SO loved it! she watched the entire thing-

& afterwards, ran down the sidewalk yelling that "oh no! i lost my glass slipper!" :) i wish i could relive that experience. it was so much fun!

afterwards, we joined eloise & daddy at pinstripes for a little bowling, as lucy's been requesting it- you'd think it was her birthday week, not dad's! :) toddler's seem to have a way of running the show i now realize-

this morning, lucy had her last ballet class at a fairytale ballet. she went out with a bang, dressed as the little mermaid [our favorite!] :) we're starting a combo ballet & tap class with some neighbor friends after spring break at a dance studio in our neighborhood. her little tap shoes are to die! [& we're excited to start at miller marley in the fall when she's 3! will she really be 3 this year?!?!?]

bunks are looking good- a solid afternoon of work & the finishing touches will be complete. speaking of, my next big "mom project" of the year is transferring lucy to a big girl bed [#1 potty training- check! #2 eloise's sleep transition- check!] we've started reading about big girl beds, and really i don't think it's going to be much of a headache with that girl. we'd like to have her transitioned by our first summer vacation at the beginning of may, as she'll be sleeping in a regular bed while we're away. alwayyys something! :)
