the girls & i visited wonderscope last week. we all really enjoyed it- they especially had a blast! lucy's been talking about it non-stop & eloise was quick to show her independence! i'm shocked that neither of them got sick though- while lots of fun, i definitely felt like we were in a germ infested play arena :) [because we were!]
lucy loved the h2o room best :) she was soaked & kept reminding herself "it's otay, it will dry!"

snow much fun at kaitlyn brewer's 4th birthday party last weekend- & perfect that we actually got several inches of snow that day! elsa was surely looking out for these excited little ladies. it's always my favorite to have a big snow on a weekend when jon's home, too :)
9 months! i cannot cannot cannot believe it! she's right in the 50th percentile for height & weight. growing too quickly for my mama-heart to handle-
my sleeping beauty sleeping peacefully! we have made huge sleep strides & i blog today with the most rested eyes i've had since beginning this gentle crib transition. last night was our best crib sleep stretch yet with only one wake up during the night! she happily goes down in her crib & sleeps deeply. i'm so relieved there have been no tears or trauma for anyone!
gmom's birthday lunch last sunday-

eloise & i went solo to her 9 month appointment, while lucille & meme busied themselves with a beatrix potter tea party filled with strawberries, orange tea & [primarily] cinnamon sugar :) meme reported that lu stayed occupied at her party for a good hour! [note this cinderella tee which is her current choice each morning-]
lucy got to try out preschool at the lee ann britain center this past week [where i taught before staying home with my girls!] for not even age 2.5, she held her own against the 3 & 4 year olds! while we're not sure that there will be a class in the fall for kids who turn 3 after september 1 [her birthday is the 25th], we will be back the following year. with having a fall birthday, lucy will actually have 3 years of preschool, as opposed to the 2 that eloise will attend due to being a spring baby. our plan for this fall is to do a half-day per week at holy trinity preschool, where the girls will also go for grade school.

my mom [who, i've mentioned before, was a total hippie in her day] inspired me to make my own diaper cream for eloise out of coconut oil & essential oils- lucy [who is super proud to not need diaper cream anymore!] & i agreed on jasmine :)

special time with this princess during eloise's nap today- she was SO proud to share a picnic. [ignore the lack of cushions on our patio furniture- this 60 degree weather is such a sweet surprise!]
