sweet, sweet eloise :) she's started whimpering when she hears lucy cry, and giggling + kicking her legs [hard!] when she sees her. lucy is, undoubtedly, her favorite family member. [while eloise is easily charlie's favorite! he spends much of his time nuzzled into her sweet little thighs:)] we've also just started some crib naps- maybe like 2 or 3 times total :) she does pretty well with them- the other day i got a complete shower & blow-dry done while she napped in her room. for the most part, it's still naps on mom in the moby or somewhere right by me. jon just put the swing away this week! 'til next time... :) overall, eloise is leaps & bounds ahead of where lucy was sleep-wise at this point. of course now, we tell lucy goodnight between 7-8pm & she'll happily sing herself to sleep, not waking up until 7 the next morning. it's glorious! [& did i mention she's started refusing her sleepsack, so it's a blanket & pillow for the big 2 year old!] eloise is trying her darnedest to crawl, tucking her legs underneath her little tummy while on the floor. she'll be 6 months this friday- how?!?

precious sisters- lucy says several times each week "eloise is so beautiful" while rubbing her soft, sweet head. she literally does not remember life pre-eloise & i absolutely love that! the other morning lucy hugged eloise, looked at me & said "no mommy! that's MY baby!" oh dear. 

i snapped this pic of my lu on the way to the brewer girls' house the other morning for a playdate. she is finally requesting pigtails! she'll run upstairs, pull out her step-stool, climb up on the cabinet, grab 2 elastics, run downstairs & ask jon or me to give her some piggies :)

lucy loves daddy's boots! i love this stage she's in. such a fun imagination! & she's become VERY LOUD! she likes to YELL wherever she is, and follows it up with a whispered "by quiet!"

somewhere lucy picked up the phrase "my friend" & now tacks in onto sentences. most often we hear "whatcha up to, my friend?" & "whacha doin' up there, my friend?"

& we wrapped up the weekend putting the finishing touches on our christmas decor! although lucy is pretty terrified of santa "no hi santa!" not sure we'll even attempt santa photos this year- exactly what had crossed my mind when when i planned our family christmas pictures for last weekend. so so excited to get them back from shannon :) 

we had such a wonderful time decorating this year- lucy is such a fun age for this! she carefully examined each ornament that she pulled from the box & exclaimed that it was "SO beautiful!" eloise was in total awe of lucy's [crazy] excitement & the tree lights. beautiful memories. peppermint ice cream, christmas music & holiday coffee [oh & wine...] made it all the sweeter :)

framed christmas cards from each year we've been married + some favorite framed family cards we've received. also displayed is a christmas card from when my mom was a little girl with a picture of her & my aunt chalon. a classic!

happy thanksgiving week to you! my sister & her family arrive tuesday night & we have a super fun week planned. post to follow, of course! SO so so much that i am thankful for. i am the luckiest :)
