we are back from what can honestly be described as our most memorable & tiresome vacation EVER! we made some great, lasting memories. my aunt chalon & uncle dave are the best hosts- they live in the sweetest little beach town in the panhandle of florida. jon & i dream of one day having our own home in that same part of the country, but in the meantime- we have some exhausting years ahead, as was proven to us over this past week!
traveling with 2 children under the age of 2 is a big endeavor in itself. add all of the novelties that come with the beach, the airport, new foods- whew! we definitely worked for the benefit of having a family this trip... :)

jon did much of the lucy care, while i took on the eloise care. my sister made the awesome point that at least we were man-on-man :)
lucy was a bit freaked by the sand to start off each day that we went down to the beach. the last time we had a beach vacation she was only 10 months old, so everything was new again!
once she reacclamated herself each day, she was a happy little mermaid :)
some of the best moments were when both girls were konked out from their beach fun. jon & i happily welcomed these peaceful moments :) [and as a side note, nursing with sandy nipples in the florida heat is something i may never forget]
chalon & dave's home is so perfectly understatedly decorated in beach touches. this pillow is one of my favorites. this is my future self!

and i certainly enjoyed non-interrupted quality time with my little family
the biggest hit [BY FAR] of the trip was chalon & dave's GOLF CART. lucy was [and is] completely & utterly obsessed. she would have been happy to do nothing but take that thing to & from the pool all. day. long. "lucy in GOLF CART- GO FAST!!!"

eloise got some great, deep sleeps from it all- so much to see & explore!
we only had one rainy afternoon- so we drove around to check out the town with lucy & this blue-eyed beauty :)
our last night could not have been more beautiful. the beach was unreal.
lucy took quite a liking to uncle dave this trip :)
headed home. we'll be back in may! until then, jon & i plan to recover... HA!
