our inquisitive, self-assured, crazy smart eloise turned 9! this girl tests me daily, always wins an argument, and is the most ferocious reader i know. she keeps a small circle of friends, and takes her time with all she does. her birthday fell on her sisters' recital weekend (which i also work as a 2 year old ballet teacher), so jon ensured the weekend was extra special for her, and we'll continue celebrating with her school bestie next weekend!

recital day for bea! lucy was a backstage runner, and worked super hard all saturday long. betsy brought the sass and walked out of there definitely positive she was the star of the show ;)
lucy's recital day. so fun and rewarding to see her hard work and progress. dancing is her most joyful time, no doubt.
aunt lisa and courtney visited from indiana, and miss madden made it through the entire night, too!
and the week leading up to the big weekend, the girls were out of school but outdoor pools weren't yet open, so we had several days filled with fun summer stuff.
