if i'm honest, i kind of feel like i'm swimming just to stay above water right now. it's such a busy life season between school work for all 3, activities and just the day-to-day of keeping up with life. i am deeply grateful that i get to stay home when the girls are at school- it's literally how everything is kept together for all of us. the laundry, the groceries, the dance bags, the backpacks, the constant school and dance communication. it's a lot, and like a groundhog's day, there are rarely breaks from the grind of life with a 5, 7 and 9 year old. add an unending pandemic, and some days i just want to go to bed and wake up when my children no longer need to wear masks indoors or worry that their good friend who wants a playdate may be carrying some invisible virus. but thankfully i can see beyond the here and now, and know life won't always feel like a non-stop freight train. the girls are thriving, my mental and physical health are priorities and jon's in a job role he was born to do.
among the chaos, i count my blessings.
