the absolute best news of this week is the beginning of the covid vaccine roll out! front line medical workers lined up to receive their first dose of the pfizer vaccine- auntie amy and aunt alli included. the hope in this news is immeasurable. we have such profound gratitude for the scientists and donars who have worked tirelessly to create this new future. between vaccinations and herd immunity, we're hopeful for a maskless future where we can all safely be together again much sooner than later.
we had such a festive week! we zoomed with santa, delivered cookies, had red & green waffles for dinner by request, built gingerbread houses, drove to look at light displays, watched our favorite christmas movies & drank hot cocoa at least once per day :) jon's been perfecting his christmas cocktails each evening, and the girls wrapped up their fall semester with in-person, masked school and dance with zero shut downs!
we've had so much fun pulling together the details of our house. the furniture building is continuous and we have constant deliveries, but we're definitely feeling settled and excited for christmas!! we're hoping for a snowy winter filled with sledding on the golf course, and look forward to warmer days of walking to the club for dining and sunsets. 2020 left us raw and confused and devastated, but from the lowest times in our lives, we have the opportunity to reset and come out better humans on the other side. breathing in the moments, prioritizing our values and choosing our happiness are our greatest takeaways.
and now we're beyond ready to fill this house with our people!
