friday! yay! fri-yay!
it's been a busy spring break with most crossed off of our bucket list + we still have a few days to finish the rest! we celebrated daddy turning 31 & spent our days at union station's science city, the zoo & indoor swimming, we had lunch at chuck e cheese [& now eloise is convinced this is where she needs her birthday party to be- haha!], took a day to play at home, spent time each day exercising at the rec, and lucy's been perfecting her braiding skills!
i introduced lucy to my favorite movie of alllll time over break - steel magnolias - in prep for a girls trip with my mom, sister & aunt to the steel magnolias bed & breakfast in louisiana this summer! i am sooo excited for this trip- it's been on my radar for years! shelby's house [julia robert's character] in the movie has been converted into a charming little b&b and everyone was on board to take the trip this summer! so looking forward to it :)
...and it's been awhile since i've done a little sister snapshot! after spending so much undivided attention with my girls this week, i am definitely due!
lucille age 5.5- lucy is simply the sweetest. she has such a sweet & sensitive heart, along with a huge desire to please others. she is the queen of negotiations with her sisters, and she practices her dance class dances at least one-hundred times throughout each day. she is the ultimate perfectionist, which i'm making a conscious effort to keep at a healthy level. she's super hard on herself & holds herself to sometimes unattainable standards when learning a brand new skill, so we work on perfect vs. giving her best effort. she is a little mommy & is often seen carrying around her dolly, which she's dressed for the day in clothes she laid out for her the night before :) she has a huge imagination & comes up with hilarious scenarios for she & her sisters to act out- usually involving her being a teacher of some sort. she loves any kind of art & always prays extra hard for her family each night.
eloise age 3.5- eloise is truly one a kind in absolutely every way! the complete opposite of lucy, she really doesn't have any care about what others are doing or what their opinion is of her choices. it's amazing to me how young these traits surface! she is completely hands-on, and loves anything she can touch or manipulate with her hands- digging. stringing beads, getting super messy! she is so silly and snuggly, and loves to squeeze in as close as she can get her little body next to ours. she's proud to be a big sister & so looks up to lucy, even though she often makes different choices than lucy does in terms of preferences. her default is always a goofy sound or face, and she loves making up the most ridiculous knock-knock jokes that make absolutely no sense, but usually contain the word "toilet". she is compassionate & feels things deeply- high highs & low lows with this little one.
beatrice age 2- betsy has truly come into her own! she is headstrong & opinionated. she wants to do exactly what her sisters are doing one-hundred percent of the time, and definitely believes this world revolves around her. she is still attached to "bunny" & rarely goes anywhere without her little friend. she knows the lyrics to every trolls & moana song, sings them loudly in her sweet, raspy voice, and requests that her hair be styled into "bun buns" each morning. she loves painting, and is a total carb addict as of late. she's a daddy's girl & jon's absolutely all about it :) she's in my "mommy & me" dancing class & has the worst track record in terms of listening to her teacher- i'm possibly pretty ready for her to move into the next level this summer ;) she's in that in-between space of needing/not needing naps, and i can't believe our baby is already almost 26 months!

this weekend, jon & i are headed to the miranda lambert concert with friends [!!!], and taking the girls bowling, and monday the girls & i are hitting the aquarium for one last spring break hoorah!
