we had a full week of summer fun & with the weather cooling a bit, i am feeling especially excited that fall is just around the corner! we will have 2 preschoolers this school year- lucy is in pre-kindergarten [3 mornings] & eloise is starting her first year of preschool [2 mornings]. this means that it will just be bea & me a couple of mornings per week! i can't believe that i will only have one child in my care on a consistent basis- i never thought the day would actually come :) one of those mornings, i'm teaching a "mommy & me" toddler dancing class that bea & i will do together :) 

it makes me sad to think that every school year from here on out, i'll have fewer & fewer hours with my little buddies during the school week. with betsy hitting 18 months & everyone finally finally consistently sleeping through the night, we're in a sweet spot right now & our hearts are full.

meme & i took the big girls to see beauty & the beast at theatre in the park- they had so much fun & have been talking about it all week, that it totally made the 11:30pm bedtime worth it :) eloise is obsessed with the character babette, while tells me we may be in trouble with this one ;)

lucy & eloise had 4 dance watch weeks between them this week + i taught my 2 year old ballet class. i'm thankful for my friends who sent me these pics! watch weeks currently consist of me corralling siblings, so pictures are few & far between ;) one day i'll be one of the moms who can sit & enjoy watching her child dance ;)

friday night, we took the girls to the county fair & it was so so much fun! we ate at a little small town burger joint before, and it was awesome. the best kinds of memories-

& yesterday, lucy performed in her first ever little singing recital. JOY! it was the best seeing her so confident & enjoying herself so much. she had a little solo in "maybe" from annie & was fearless. we may have a tiny musical theatre baby on our hands :)

we're heading to the pool, church & pizza this afternoon. we have another month before the girls start school, and after this week, we're off from dance until september, so we'll have time to just BE. a brand new rec center just opened up in lenexa, and it's become our new happy place! the girls are all finally old enough & ready to happily be a part of a gym childcare situation. on friday, i took them & they didn't look back! i was able to take a yoga class BY MYSELF in the middle of the day, then sweep up my happy kids afterwards. it's a game changer & i'm a happy mama!
