what a week we've had! i posted about betsy's little stint at the children's hospital last weekend.
well, her wheezing never ended up resolving itself, and following mother's intuition, i took her into see our pediatrician yesterday morning. one listen to her breathing, and we were immediately sent to see yet another ENT in the ER at children's.
long story short, emergency surgery took place yesterday evening after a second x-ray showed signs of lung distress. the ENT who took care of bea was fabulous, thorough, and stellar at extracting peanuts out of children's lungs... particularly a peanut that's been lodged in an airway for over a week.

& we had one last overnight at the hospital, hopefully never to be repeated!
we can't fully express our gratitude for our pediatrition, the surgical team who operated on our girl, and the swiftness of her recovery.
we follow up in a few weeks in order to ensure her lungs are working properly after the trauma.
here's to a less dramatic summer...
