soaking up october & making sure their halloween costumes are up to par-

poor charlie- our stand-in scarecrow :) we can't wait for halloween weekend with the lion & tin man joining us [aka tasman & milo:)] we have a few events over the next couple weeks for the girls to wear their costumes to, so we also have another set of costumes in an attempt to preserve dorothy & glinda. lucy will go as a pumpkin & eloise will go as a ghost to outdoor activities- mainly because there's no doubt eloise is capable of tearing up her glinda gown in .2 seconds :)

friday morning at the kc pumpkin patch- it was a chilly, dreamy morning with my girls :)

saturday pre-dance- daddy & lucy had a date to the studio. eloise & i had a date with me trying to get 50+ things done while only in charge of 1 kid- i quickly remembered that getting anything done with my busy bee 16 month old, no matter the situation, is pretty darn impossible... :)

jon left on a big business trip this morning, so meme headed to the cider mill with the girls & me for cider & donuts-

checking out our goodies- soup mix, orange hot cocoa, bread spreads & strawberry honey!

eloise has started singing the ABC's- it's the sweetest thing ever! she'll sing "a b c d e f g . . ." & then just hum the rest of the tune. i don't remember lucy singing this early. she also now greets everyone with, "helloooo!" & happily has pretend phone conversations on her play phone. she's started identifying other people's facial features- she'll point to my nose, ears, eyes & label them. she had a few earlier mornings this week & we got some special mommy/eloise time in. she's also started putting items in the trash to help! her favorite is throwing away her own diapers :)

both girls love carrying around little bags of knick-knacks- lately it's been their trick-or-treat bags- they'll go around the house finding little goodies to stuff them with. 

lucy's started asking "who built" her & eloise. she was satisfied with "mommy & daddy" for a few days, but now she wants to know just how we built her & her sister :)

i'm starting to be able to see baby kicks when i look at my tummy- 25 weeks tomorrow. i am astounded that there are only 15 weeks to go- we're getting so so excited to meet our third daughter & have her join us on the outside. until then, i continue to enjoy sleep & occasional rest & organization :)

we had our family photos taken last night & i can hardly wait to get them back in a couple weeks! documenting the growth of our family means so much to me.

looking forward to lucy starting gymnastics classes this week!
