yesterday may have well been lucille's birthday
after dance class cupcake happiness [you can see katie & me snapping pictures away in the window... mom-arazzi]
starting about noon [on a 7pm game day] lucy was ready to head to the ballpark with daddy
my royal girl dressed for the royal's game- disney princess glove & all- a mere 7 hours early :)
jon & lucy left the house about 3 & stopped by kansas sampler for some baseball gear. jon told her she could pick one thing she wanted in the store- anything. & what did she choose? a gold bead 50 cent necklace :)
so jon threw in this ball cap, too :) [i don't see the issue with the tiara i sent her in]
lucy was super pumped to visit "slugger's house"- but of course she didn't want near the actual mascot guy once they got there. she was, however, quick to choose the slugger carousel seat :)
hotdog, cookie, peanuts, lemonade, cherry snow cone ... does this smile not say it all?
jon was a bit flabbergasted when they arrived home & he was explaining that while trying to point out the pitcher's mound to lucy, she was far more interested in the nachos the folks in front of them were chowing down on-
that's my girl
lucy woke up this morning proud to show off her gold necklace to eloise, proclaim her new love for peanuts & share her relief that charlie didn't bite slugger's ankle
the drive home last night-
i'd say they nailed it
