we've been busy! the girls are at SUCH fun ages for the holidays!
miss cinnamon, our family elf, arrived in her marshmallow bubblebath-
lucy takes her job of not touching santa's helper pretty darn seriously- she's dying to give her a hug, but continuously reminds herself [out loud] "no hug!"
eloise had a great 6 month check-up! she's right in the 50th percentile for sizing stats, and developing beautifully. we feel so blessed because of that.
lucy & i have been crafting up a storm. to make the christmas season extra special, we're doing at least one christmas-themed activity per day- she LOVES it & asks me for "heart" time [art time] each morning :)

we did a christmas science experiment on wednesday using cookie cutters, food coloring, baking soda & vinegar- loved it! lucy was occupied a good 30 minutes while i got the dishes finished :)

miss e tried her first EVER food besides mama milk! we've tried oatmeal 3 times now, with more success each time. we've also started learning to drink breastmilk from a straw- she's really making progress & is clearly pretty proud of herself :)
christmas bean bag toss!
this is my favorite craft we've done so far! lucy made her own wrapping paper using christmas cookie cutters & tempura paint- i am SO excited to wrap gifts using it! & as a side note- we've finished all of our christmas shopping- what a wonderful feeling! so excited about the gifts we're giving this year :) we're wrapping everything [other than the gifts we'll wrap in lu's paper!] in brown paper & candy cane striped baker's twine. jon & i throw a little wrap party each year, and get all of the wrapping done together.
yesterday after ballet, lucy & jon made candy cane cookies. "tandy-tanes" are lucy's FAVORITE food these days!
while they baked, we decorated christmas cards with dot markers & sparkles, then assembled cookie plates for our mail carrier & special neighbors
so proud to deliver her christmas cheer!
pizza party with emily & molly [good friends'/neighbors' girls who are 18 months apart] last night!
followed by the neighborhood holiday hayride to see the christmas lights :)
candy cane hunt around the house this morning :)
we're getting ready to undergo some renovations on our main floor prior to christmas- fireplace stone, kitchen backsplash, appliances [adding a gas stove & hood, which of course means adding a gas line...], laundry room shelving- & december 26 marks day 1 of potty training bootcamp! nothing like everything at once.
