all i know is i'm v. ready for a long winter's nap-
i think this is the most excited i've ever been to watch the girls on christmas morning! i lived so many years in a fog of babies and busy and all that comes with it. this past year as the girls are now 6, 8 and 10, and we've entered a new season of life with prioritizing seeing my therapist (life changing) and taking an active, intentional role in my mental health, i'm enjoying the moments so much more. i've learned to slow down (still working on it), and am learning to not let anxiety with my constant running lists steal joy from today. much easier said than done, but so worth the time, energy and effort. i still have many days where stress gets the best of me, but it's now a conscious endeavor rather than a passive default.
lots of festive fun this week- wrapping packages, the nutcracker tea party with eloise and her bestie, and so so much gratitude for our village that loves our kids while raising theirs alongside us.
