we've had a house full of sick kids, and are finally on the mend... 

i was really losing steam in my nursing abilities. 

seeing the addams family at the j (where lucy performed matilda this past summer). we hadn't seen the show before and we absolutely loved it... it was such a beautiful production with a sweet message and an uber talented cast!

dance watch week always means we're all 5 living at the studio, tag-teaming and making sure everyone gets where they need to be and usually forgetting a shoe or a snack or something else we need.

betsy woke up sunday and wrote her wish list for santa. so so so excited to deck the halls of our home this weekend!

halloweekend!

 tricks, treats, and tummy bugs. 'tis the season-

we had a busy, busy weekend and have consumed enough candy to last us until next october! sweet eloise spent halloween with a tummy bug followed by a killer migraine. we're working with a neurologist to combat this debilitating constant in our lives! thankfully we had already attended two trunk or treats ;) lucy and betsy trick or treated on our street, then went to join dance friends for a fun little bonfire party and core memory night of running from house to house in the most beautiful fall weather. 

and now... happy first day of listening to christmas music!! **alexa, play holly dolly christmas**

lucy d does dc!

lucy's 10 year trip with her dad to dc was a total success! she picked the city and the itinerary, which they've been planning for months. her last trip with jon was to chicago for her 5th birthday, and her last of the birthday trilogy trips is when she turns 16. jon's only rules for her sweet sixteen is that it has to be international + a place our family hasn't traveled before. i absolutely love being on the receiving end of these trips... getting giddy phone calls and facetimes. the best!!

they kicked off their visit with a much anticipated trip to the white house. jon had to request the tour 6 months in advance, and he got word in august that they were in!

as a fellow true crime junkie like her mom, lucy's must-do list included the ford's theatre where lincoln was shot. she was so fascinated to see "THE chair he was shot in" but she made sure i knew he didn't actually die there, but across the street (which she also visited:)

the most exciting facetime to tell me her dad surprised her with hamilton tickets!!

her most favorite pasttime - pounding a hotel breakfast

capital tour ... which was also booked months in advance. she loved seeing where kamala harris "actually sits!'

and the crowning jewel - taking in hamilton after a trip to see the original constitution...
