this week brought yet another snow day and even more longing for spring and a break from our weekly grind. 

lucy and i leave at the crack of dawn tomorrow [literally a 5am flight] to journey to disneyworld! tomorrow's agenda is shopping and eating on the boardwalk in disneysprings just the 2 of us, and monday is a spa appointment and breakfast at the grand floridian followed by an afternoon of swimming and an evening at the disney workshop lucy and her fellow dancers get to be a part of. to say she's excited is definitely an understatement. tuesday jon and the other girls join for lucy's performance, and we all head to the parks starting wednesday. 

a long-awaited trip for some super happy kids. 

we met our newest family member, casen james, last weekend. he is absolute perfection, and the snuggliest little bundle.

and we celebrated our most favorite guy on his 35th. oh, how we love him so.

spring is just around the corner! 

so excited for warm days and open windows. we went straight from snow to 80 degree temps [hello, kansas], the girls performed in the kansas city disney preview show for the disney troupe that's traveling to orlando and performing over spring break [lucy's over the moon!], celebrated the start of lent, and betsy and i had an entire friday to ourselves because it was kindergarten roundup, so our precious almost 1st grader got the day off school! she planned our day with all of her favorite things. 

one week until we get a break from the grind! giddy to get to spend undivided time with my family <3

daddy daughter and denver davidsons!

we spent the girls' 6 day weekend celebrating their first daddy daughter dance since the covid era began and visiting our davidson cousins in denver. special, cherished memories all around!

we were off bright and early the next morning for the 8 hour drive with meme-

seeing the cousins and their friendships together was the very best.
