a quiet week with beautiful weather, open windows and lots of needed downtime. we celebrated new year's in my favorite way- at home, together, with an italian dinner and plenty of prosecco. the girls rang in the sydney new year before we were all in bed long before midnight. it's a good life, and we're hopeful for the 365 days ahead of love, fun, hardwork, being present and opportunity.
kicking off day 1 with the first snow of the season!
it was a wonderful wonderful week, filled with grateful and excited little girls and fun, non-scheduled days. the girls and i saw sing 2, which they've been talking about for months, were able to enjoy the amazingly warm and unseasonable weather [usually i wish for a cold and white christmas, but with the uncertainty of the past 2 years, i'll take all the vitamin D and fresh air i can get], and waited as patiently as we could for cousins to arrive on the 23rd! we fit in all the festive fun, and i'm so happy for a week with little on the agenda.
it's the little things that make life big.
