we loved watching our dancers perform their hearts out in their christmas ballet! betsy's kindergarten teacher came to see her perform, and seeing betsy run and jump in her arms was the sweetest. it was so fun to see their hard work come to life on stage, and even more fun to see their friendships blossoming backstage.

we wrapped up the school semester, fa la la la finished our shopping and wrapping, and we're counting down to holiday festivities with family this week! all the lights, treats and warm mugs, please.

christmas shenanigans

the girls are officially fully vaccinated, so after 90 weeks, i'm officially closing the chapter on my "covid posts". i think covid is here to stay forever, and it's time to do what we can to stay healthy, maintain our mental and physical well-being... and move forward. 

jon and i are running on about 4 hours of sleep, but there's just too much festive fun to fit in! the last few days have brought sick kids missing school [one after the other], finishing all the christmas shopping [woo-wee... so many people to show our appreciation for!], eloise and betsy's school christmas program [which betsy sobbed through because a classmate burped in her face], jon getting to visit our colorado fam while on a work trip, the feast of st. nicholas [chocolate coins always] and attempting to take in the season each day. jon and i hosted the dance school's staff christmas party last night which was the absolute best to all be together in one space, unmasked, again, and next week is the girls' production of clara's dream, which means we have tech week ahead of us. 

'tis the season.
