it felt weird to title this post "week 61". overnight, many mask mandates dropped in major markets like costco and disney for those who have been vaccinated. children aged 12 and up are now eligible, which is just so exciting, and so many teens that we know jumped on the opportunity. of course, there's no way to visibly tell who is actually vaccinated, but all of a sudden, restaurants and stores are filled with unmasked people. we're eagerly anticipating our girls' eligibility, and are grateful every single day for the fact that we had the information to confidently embrace that it's these vaccinations that are going to get the world back up and running again. broadway is set to re-open september 14, and for crying out loud... we made it through this school year with zero school transmissions and zero shutdowns. it's been the greatest gift to our whole family, and we are forever indebted to the relentless communication and leadership from our school's administration and teachers.
we have a crazy crazy few days- 2.5 days left of school, recital dress rehearsals and packing for virginia. i'll be hugging my gramma in less than a week's time!!
