the best gifts of all need no wrapping at all! it was a special december week, and we're capping it with huge snowflakes falling outside and nowhere to be.
santa made his annual visit to daddy's work, and we celebrated with a big italian meal at lidia's- as always, plain spaghetti noodles x3 ;)
star of the week- eloise has been counting down to december 9th for weeks! i loved reading to her kindergarten class and celebrating with the messiest red & green cupcakes we could find :)

christmas cookie delivery up & down our street- year 5!
the feast of st lucy- we celebrated with cinnamon rolls, prayer cards & coins for the girls, bell ringing on the plaza and jack stack :)
and a december saturday done right- our favorite local coffee, miss cinnamon in her dancing costume and a full day of holiday shows at local assisted living homes. the girls loved this day with their friends, i was so so proud of eloise singing her first ever solo, and betsy for hanging with the big girls for the day in complete admiration of their bright red lipstick. jon had a 1st grade basketball game to coach minus lu + yardwork to finish before the snowglobe arrived. it was a packed 8 hours which led to early bedtimes for the girls and too much red wine for mom afterwards ;)
fingers crossed for a snow day tomorrow!
