a bite of the big apple

we had the best of times on our new york city adventure! these fearless girls quickly adapted to city living and were in such awe of all the things.  

jon had a work trip in texas, so the girls and i packed a full day of fun for day 1! 

serendipity for frrrozen hot chocolate was first on our agenda-

followed by lots of walking down to radio city and ice skating at rockefeller-

jon surprised us by showing up early at our hotel door and walked us to our first show of the trip!

seeing six with the girls was hands down a TOP life moment for me! it was i n c r e d i b l e and their joy was palpable . . . .

we took the subway downtown on the morning we saw hamilton to visit trinity church. jon was eager to give us a history lesson in preparation for the evening ;)

and the most fun stop ever- the eloise tea party at the plaaaza!!

...where we celebrated BB turning the big 9!

in the room where it happens-

eloise's all-time favorite rainbow bagels from her previous trip to nyc were a morning must! she's only been talking about them for 8 months now...

so proud of lucy for auditioning for the school of american ballet's summer intensive. she was brave, poised, and met some new friends who love what she loves!

followed by a little times square sephora makeover... duh

jon and i asked bets to take our picture before dinner and this is what we got :)

it feels like the kids have been permanently home for weeks and weeks and weeks with about zero structure in our lives at the moment! the girls just wrapped up a four day weekend, which they spent with friends, dancing, shopping, attempting to stay warm, and it wouldn't be an actual winter weekend without a casual trip to urgent care. 

betsy and her super sweet friend spent friday at the mall for a little early birthday celebration for bea. they hit allll the tween hot spots- bath and body, sephora, boba, freeze dried candies, claires, nordstrom for lunch and bungee jumping. it was truly a joy spending time with these excited girls who aren't yet too cool for me and are excited to spill all the tea about school happenings and such. 'twas a fun way to kick off 9!

snow much snow and many, many days without leaving the house + all my people under one cozy roof! it was amazing!!!!! 

and all the friend time before and after our historic weather event!

back to the real world tomorrow, but hoping for a few more snow days this winter :)
