father/daughter dance is always a highlight of the school year for these 4! jon handmade their corsages with white roses and scrunchies before they joined 21 friends for dinner followed by dancing and running and sweating all night long! they had the best time and slept sooo hard that night :)

betsy felt special all weekend long as we celebrated her first holy communion. she wore auntie amy's dress made by my gramma in 1984, and my wedding veil which each of her sister's also wore for their first communions. betsy's joy and anticipation were palpable!

monday again... less than one month until summer vacation!

love these people! i took the girls to the farmstead definitely thinking it was going to be more for me and nostalgia, and leaving not believing i ever thought the girls would have been too old for that. they had the best time feeding the baby goats, and unlike when they were little, they were super into the kansas native american history. so much curiousity and so many questions! they're just so fun, and while the mental load of motherhood is forever exhausting, it's truly the best kind of exhaustion. 

i finally changed out lucy's clothes hangars which is equally hilarious and ridiculous. she wears my clothes half the time, and the tiny pink and purple plastic hangars that have filled our household for the past decade+ weren't cutting it anymore. a funny, unexpected milestone for our 11.5 year old!

we only have 35 days until summer vacation! bring it on... we are so ready! we're finishing up planning 4 trips, and are all signed up for summer swim team and over night camp. can't wait for our favorite days of the year!

we had a fun easter with all of our favorite traditions. eloise amy always searches for the amy bunny on the plaza after easter brunch, we hunted eggs with cousins, and attended the most beautiful service downtown with a full orchestra and choir. 

the kids were off school for what felt like forever, so i'm spending this week playing catch up and lining up all the summer things!
