wow... i'm not sure i've ever been so ready to unplug and unwind as the beginning of this spring break. we had a crazy, busy, wonderful week of frozen tech and performances. the girls had the best time, and i was most touched by how warm and welcoming each of the 8th grade families were to not only lucy and eloise, but our whole family. what a special gift and memories we'll treasure.
we celebrated jon's birthday with lemon cheesecake curated by chef bea, and a quiet weekend at home before hitting the road for beaver lake.
we've spent years visiting and loving tablerock, while also wanting the peace and serenity of the smoky mountains to escape to often. beaver lake in arkansas is the perfect mix for us- it's only a 3.5 hour drive from kansas city, we can easily drive up to tablerock, bentonville or fayetville for meals, shopping and entertainment while staying a bit more private down the road. we spent our spring break week doing a whole lot of nothing + looking at lots to build our own little escape!! so looking forward to future holidays and summer weeks spent here.
